Ken also helms special events and concerts. This involves:
...meeting with the producer to create a cohesive evening in terms of design from the moment the guest arrives at the venue. All graphics from poster art to programs are discussed to coincide with the stage design and a "show flow" script is created.
...acting as the liaison to all creatives including the musical director and the lighting and sound designers. Ken is often heavily involved in set concepts and is lead projection designer when needed.
...staging the talent and musicians in a manner that flows but remains simple and artistically effective. Often due to celebrity scheduling, "day of" blocking and musical staging is required in addition to overseeing sound checks and tech rehearsals.
